The Subtle Ties

The images of my mind
rotted in their dismal state
shrouded by the purity
or the enormity of my hate

How solemnly I stare on,
Those icy eyes of blue
Their unnoticed intelligence
and their observance of you

A tilt of tiny head
watching ever more
forgetting the crimson flow
the innocence you  adore

Beyond those solemn eyes
A demon yet did rage
so small the host did be
such a small deceiving cage

But nothing was whispered
the orders given followed
a nod and icy eyes lowered
returning to be hallowed

Dismissal granted with a grunt
foot steps faded away
and those eyes flashed once
knowing you would pay
